Michaé Pulido (They/Them/Theirs)

Spring 2018 Undergraduate Intern

As a queer, two-spirit scholar and activist, Michaé applied to NCTE to translate their on-campus queer/trans advocacy at California State University Northridge to a national level. They have become familiar with policy and advocacy through their work in committees and with the CSUN Pride Center, but really wanted the opportunity to grow, make an impact for their community on a macro level, and work toward Trans rights with an organization that is producing such necessary work. They have played a huge role in raising gender inclusivity, mentoring LGBTQIA+ students, and bridging gaps among resources at CSUN ensuring that their fellow queer/trans peers find a sense of belonging.
