Vanity Fair Introduces Caitlyn Jenner

Image

With the release of Vanity Fair's cover image of Caitlyn Jenner, formerly Bruce Jenner, the National Center for Transgender Equality advises journalists to update their writing to use Caitlyn Jenner with female pronouns (she, her, and hers).

In an accompanying video with the photo shoot, Caitlyn said "Bruce always had to tell a lie. He was always living a lie. Every day, he always had a secret. Caitlyn doesn't have any secret."

The photograph was shot by American portrait photographer Annie Leibovitz.
