Raffi Freedman-Gurspan Rejoins NCTE from White House
The National Center for Transgender Equality announced today that Raffi Freedman-Gurspan has joined the organization to lead and enhance its organizing and public education efforts as Director of External Relations. In this role, she will also liaise with and support the organization’s policy and communications programs, serving as a public spokesperson.
Raffi's return to NCTE is a homecoming, as she previously served as the organization’s racial and economic justice policy advisor. Most recently, she held roles in the Obama White House as senior associate director for public engagement, and as an outreach and recruitment director for presidential personnel. She was the first openly transgender staff member at the White House.
