A4TE’s Trans Health Project takes a comprehensive and systematic approach to expanding access to transgender health care.
We educate affected trans people about their legal rights, work towards equal access to healthcare, expand enforcement of existing legal protections; and drive changes to insurance company policies.
The Trans Health Project uses alternative dispute resolution, policy advocacy, and, where necessary, impact litigation, to end categorical coverage exclusions for transgender-related health care in public and private health plans.
